cat and carrier

I got my cat in 05/31/08. She was 6 mts old at the time. In Oct of that
yr, I took her to the vet (was difficult taking her then, but I managed)
to get her spayed and her shots. The PROBLEM now is that she WILL NOT
get in or near her carrier for me to take her to the vet again. Her vet
visit time is WAY PAST DUE, but she becomes very aggressive when I try
taking her.

Idea(s)? ANYBODY! .... ~I'd greatly appreciate feedback~

Try putting her water and food in the carrier for awhile and let her get
use to it in her own way and time ...
